THE ROLE

Forest Sports Hub Facility Assistant is responsible for all aspects of daily operations at Forest Sports Hub. Ensuring a compliant, clean, and professional environment, the Facility Assistant will work with colleagues and facility management to ensure optimised usership of the facility, work towards any facility targets which are set, and provide excellent customer service to those using the facility, including groups, schools, and individuals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the daily running of all sports pitches, halls, and spaces within the facility.

• Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and compliant with H&S and safeguarding standards.

• Oversee equipment storage, set-up and booking arrangements, including maintenance of the booking procedure and systems

• Adhere to & upload all Nottingham Forest Foundation policies and procedures including those associated with Forest Sports Hub (available via Breathe).

• Provide friendly, professional service to all service users.

• Utilise the facility booking systems to accurately process facility bookings and any special requirements, minimising errors and maximising facility usership.

• Assist with compliance and target attainment at the facility.

• Deal with complaints and incidents professionally and in-line with procedure.

• Keep up to date with facilities management trends and best practices.

• Uphold safeguarding standards, policies, and procedures at all times.

• Uphold all Foundation policies, including safeguarding, EDI, and data protection.

• Maintain appropriate boundaries at all times, and report and safeguarding concerns via the mechanisms outlined in role training.

• Take personal responsibility over maintaining all mandatory and recommended training, safeguarding training, checks, and accreditations/qualifications necessary for the role, ensuring completion and renewals are evidenced through the mechanisms outlined.

Personal qualities

With an appreciation of the impact of community facilities on sociodemographic outcomes and on communities experiencing factors of deprivation and deficit, the role holder is enthusiastic and positive in their duties. Providing shift-based operational support and cover, the role-holder may have prior exposure to and knowledge of how facilities should work, alongside basic health and safety and customer service best practice.

The role-holder aligns with best practice, is capable of implementing consistent policy, with regards to health & safety, customer service, operations, and safeguarding, and is an enthusiastic learner who takes pride in their duties and development. The role holder has some level of digital and/or administrative skill, and is comfortable with occasional change, as well as being dependable and reliable.

Additional Information

• Completion of Nottingham Forest Foundation DBS & vetting checks including right-to-work & reference checks.

• Completion of all role-specific Nottingham Forest Foundation mandatory safeguarding checks.

• Willingness to work unsociable hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

• Driving license and access to own vehicle is preferred.
